Buddy's Favourite Treat Competition
Saturday 26th September to Thursday 1st October 2026

Promoter and entry

1. Promoter. This competition is run by Ponies of the Forest (ABN 19 632 834 540), Central Coast NSW, poniesoftheforest.com.au (the "Promoter").

2. Acceptance. These terms and the entry instructions in the competition post form the conditions of entry. By entering, you accept these terms. This competition is governed by the laws of New South Wales.

3. Who can enter. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.  The Promoter, its immediate family members, and anyone involved in running the competition are not eligible.

4. Competition period. The competition opens when the post is published on Saturday 26 September 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Thursday 1 October 2026 (the "Competition Period").  Entries received after the close will not be accepted.

5. How to enter. During the Competition Period, entrants must:

   1. comment on the competition post on the Ponies of the Forest Instagram or Facebook page with their answer (A, B, C or D) to the question "What is Buddy's favourite treat?"; and

   2. on Instagram, follow the Ponies of the Forest Instagram account.

6. Sharing is optional. Entrants are welcome to share the post, but sharing, tagging friends or liking the post is not required to enter and does not give extra entries.

7. One entry per person. Each person may enter once across Instagram and Facebook combined. If a person comments more than once, only their first comment will count.

8. Valid entries. Only entries with the correct answer go into the draw. The Promoter may exclude any entry that is incomplete, offensive, uses fake or multiple accounts, or does not comply with these terms. Entry is free.

Prize and draw

1. The prize. There is one prize: a 1-hour miniature pony visit by Ponies of the Forest to a family member or friend nominated by the winner who is aged 65 years or over, or who lives in residential aged care or their own home, valued at $520 (retail value, including travel).

2. Where the visit can take place. The visit can be held at an aged care home or at a private home within the Promoter's service area:

   1. the Central Coast, NSW; and

   2. these Northern Sydney suburbs: Wahroonga, St Ives, Pymble, Turramurra, Belrose, Terrey Hills, Ingleside, Elanora Heights, Mona Vale, Bayview, Newport, Bilgola, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Wheeler Heights, Cromer, Dee Why, Narraweena, Curl Curl, Brookvale and Manly.

   The winner may live anywhere in Australia, but the visit must take place within this service area.

3. The draw. The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries with the correct answer at 12:00pm AEST on Friday 2 October 2026, at the Promoter's premises on the Central Coast, NSW, using a random selection tool. Each valid entry has an equal chance of winning.

4. Notifying the winner. The winner will be announced on the Ponies of the Forest Instagram and Facebook pages and contacted by direct message on the platform they entered through by 5:00pm AEST on Friday 2 October 2026. The Promoter will never ask for payment or bank details.

5. Claiming the prize. The winner must reply to the Promoter's message by 11:59pm AEST on Friday 9 October 2026 to claim the prize.

6. Redraw. If the prize is not claimed by then, or the winner is ineligible, a redraw will be held at 12:00pm AEST on Monday 12 October 2026 at the same place and in the same way. The redraw winner will be notified in the same way and must claim the prize by 11:59pm AEST on Monday 19 October 2026.

Prize conditions and general terms

1. Using the prize. The visit must take place by Monday 30 November 2026, on a date and time agreed between the winner and the Promoter. If it is not used by then, the prize is forfeited.

2. Aged care visits.  A visit to an aged care home is subject to the facility's approval and its visitor and infection-control requirements. The winner must provide a contact person at the facility so the Promoter can arrange the visit.

3. Home visits.  A visit to a private home requires good ground-level access with no stairs between the parking area and the visit area, so the pony can walk in safely.

4. Consent. The winner is responsible for making sure the person receiving the visit (or their representative) agrees to it.

5. Pony welfare and safety. The Promoter may reschedule a visit because of extreme weather, pony health, or any safety concern.  Visits are delivered under the Promoter's usual visit practices.

6. No cash or transfer. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred or sold.  If the prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoter's control, the Promoter may offer a prize of equal or greater value.

7. Publicity. The winner agrees to the Promoter publishing their first name and first letter of their surname in connection with the competition. Photos or video from the visit will only be taken or shared with the consent of the people involved and, where relevant, the facility.

8. Privacy. The Promoter collects entrants' names and account details only to run the competition and deliver the prize.  Information is not sold or shared with third parties. Contact the Promoter via email Lisa.bell@poniesoftheforest.com.au with any queries.

9. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage from entering the competition or using the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes. If the competition cannot run as planned for reasons outside the Promoter's control, the Promoter may change, suspend or cancel it, subject to any directions from Liquor & Gaming NSW.

11. Meta disclaimer. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook or Meta.  By entering, entrants release Instagram, Facebook and Meta from any liability.  Questions about the competition should be directed to the Promoter, not to Instagram, Facebook or Meta.
